Position: Teacher Quality Assurance Specialist

 

The Teacher Quality Assurance Specialist is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing teaching quality and effectiveness within our online English teaching platform. This role demands the development, implementation, and rigorous monitoring of processes and standards that culminate in superior educational outcomes. The successful candidate will exhibit an in-depth knowledge of language teaching methodologies, the intricacies of online education, and a continual pursuit of process enhancement.

 

Your mission is to ensure the highest standards of teaching quality, thereby elevating the learning experience and achievement of our students.

 

1. Job Description 

To achieve this, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Quality Assurance Planning: Craft and uphold a comprehensive quality assurance framework detailing standards, procedures, and benchmarks for teaching excellence.

Process Optimization: Examine current teaching methodologies and processes to pinpoint improvement areas, refining procedures to boost teaching effectiveness and student learning experiences.

  • Standard Development: Set forth clear, quantifiable standards for teaching quality that resonate with the company’s educational objectives and goals.
  • Teacher Training: Forge and deploy teacher training programs accentuating online teaching best practices, classroom management, and student engagement, ensuring adherence to QA standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Spearhead efforts to constantly refine teaching practices through regular reviews, feedback, and the integration of novel teaching techniques and technologies.
  • Audits and Observations: Perform routine audits and classroom observations to verify alignment with quality standards, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for enhancements.
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Design and manage feedback channels for both students and teachers to collect insights on teaching efficacy and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Compile and communicate reports on teaching quality metrics, initiatives for improvement, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.

 

Examples of the problems you will solve:

  • How to tailor the online IELTS program to meet the diverse needs of learners with different proficiency levels?
  • What materials and teaching activities should be implemented to achieve optimal results?
  • How to engage and motivate students throughout the learning journey?

Working hours:

8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday weekly.

 

2. Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

Must have: 

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience teaching English as a Second Language, with at least 1 year in a role focused on quality assurance, curriculum development, or educational leadership.
  • Proficiency in English: Confident communication and comprehension skills (equivalent to IELTS 7.5 or higher).
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in utilising data to guide decisions.

 

Nice to have:

  • Educational Expertise: A Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or related fields. A degree or certification in TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA is highly preferred.
  • Tech-Savviness: Competence in educational technology and online teaching platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to motivate and develop teaching staff.
